Gov. Christie makes cameo SNL appearance

Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie poked fun at himself during the newest episode of Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update.” Christie appeared as himself, and spoke directly to critics, while sporting his notorious blue fleece jacket.

Christie made headlines recently during President Barack Obama’s visit to New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast earlier this month. Christie gained notoriety for the fleece jacket he wore in a photo as he shook the Democratic president’s hand. Despite party differences, Christie collaborated with the President to help rescue New Jersey citizens after the hurricane’s destruction. In response to some Republicans’ criticisms of the governor’s peaceful bipartisan teamwork, Christie tweeted “We are adults. This is what adults do.”
